5 Day, 4 Night Safari – Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire

• Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
• Enter Tarangire Mid morning and commence game viewing.
• Stop inside the park for Lunch before continuing on for an afternoon Game drive through Tarangire.
• Tarangire National park is 2850 Square kilometres making it the sixth largest park in Tanzania and offering the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti. Tarangire is known for its large heards of Elephants which can be viewed at close range. Other animals likely to be seen throughout Tarangire are; wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, rhino, warthog, impala, pythons, lions, leopards and over 50 species of birds.
• Drive to Mto Wambu and camp at Twiga campsite nearby Lake Manyara.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti

• After breakfast drive to Serengeti.
• Lunch en route. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive through the Serengeti on your way to the campsite.
• Serengeti National park spans across 14,763 Square Kilometres and is easily the country’s largest and most popular National park. The Serengeti is host to the annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Buffalo, elephants, giraffe, lions, hippos and hyenas are also frequently cited throughout the Serengeti.
• Camp overnight in the heart of the Serengeti at the Serengeti wild Camp.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti

• Early morning drive to catch the spectacular Serengeti sunrise and game drive.
• Back to the campsite for lunch.
• Afternoon/evening Game drive with the magical sunset backdrop.
• Camp overnight in the heart of the Serengeti at the Serengeti wild Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

• Morning Drive through Serengeti followed by lunch back at the campsite.
• Depart the Serengeti for Ngorongoro crater.
• Camp at the crater rim amongst the wilderness. Keep your eyes out for elephants, warthogs and zebras roaming near the camp-ngorongoro wildcamp

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha

• Early breakfast for another magical sunrise before descending into the crater for a half day game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is commonly referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. The walls of the crater stand 2,000 feet high while the floor spans across approximately 10 miles. Animal citing throughout the crater includes elephant, black rhino, hippo, buffalo, eland, zebra, wildebeest, hartebeest, waterbuck, warthog, Grant’s gazelle and Thomson’s gazelle, baboons, vervet monkeys, lion, cheetah, hyena, jackal and the occasional leopard.
• Drive to Arusha arrival in the evening and overnight or fly to Zanzibar.
